Following the success of the first international route from Manila to Singapore, Air Visayas would like to announce our new international routes to the East Asia region, from Manila to Hong Kong and Taipei, and from Cebu to Taipei.
Hong Kong is a place with multiple personalities as a result of being both Cantonese Chinese and having been under British colonization. Today, it is a major tourist destination and an important hub in East Asia with global connections to many of the world's cities.
Sitting in the island's northern part in a basin between the Yangming Mountains and the Central Mountains, Taipei serves as the island's financial and cultural center. The city is a tantalizing mix of Chinese, Japanese, and Western influences, vibrant in its own right yet unhurried by global standards.
From March 1, 2023, the route from Manila to Hong Kong and Taipei will be operated by our modern Airbus A321neo with 234 seats. In particular, the route to Hong Kong will be operated with a frequency of 2 roundtrip flights daily and the route to Taipei will be operated with a frequency of 1 roundtrip flight daily. The flight route between Cebu and Taipei will soon be followed in early March with a frequency of 1 round trip daily.
The presence of our new routes to the East Asia region is one of the airline's efforts to become the leading ultra-low-cost airline in the Asia-Pacific region. Air Visayas hopes our new routes will help passengers have more diverse flying experiences at ultra-low-cost prices with us.
